The Boyer Brush story
It was a beautiful summer day, and the mouth-watering aroma of barbecued ribs filled the air. I couldn’t wait to sink my teeth into them!
As I took a bite, I felt a sharp pain in my mouth, and I realized that wire bristles from my barbecue brush had gotten lodged in my gums!
I couldn’t even close my mouth: several bristles were standing straight up in my gums, and I had to pull them out myself in front of a mirror, with a flashlight and a pair of fishing pliers.
This incident really shook me up, so I made it my top priority to learn everything there was to know about grill safety. And as a result, the Boyer Brush was born – my way of helping to prevent accidents like the one I had from happening to others.
How the Boyer Brush was built
Frustrated with the lack of safe and effective BBQ brush options on the market, I asked Geoff Boyer, the inventor, to help design one.
We built the Boyer Brush: stainless-steel springs set in a solid one-piece cast-aluminium frame. No wire bristles. The springs flex over debris, then fall back in line and keep scraping.
Designed in Québec. For standard bar grates. Sold in local BBQ, hardware and butcher shops, on Amazon.ca and Amazon.com, in bundles through our online store, and wholesale to resellers and restaurants.
The Founders
Fred Saleh, Co-Founder
Fred is a tech entrepreneur with a passion for helping people navigate the complex world of technology. After several years of experience in the tech industry, he founded his own company to provide affordable and effective solutions to businesses.
As an avid grill master and lover of the outdoors, Fred was immediately taken aback by the lack of safe and effective solutions for grilling safety. He knew that the traditional wire bristle brushes commonly used for cleaning grill grates could pose serious health risks if ingested, and he was determined to find a better solution. And so, Boyer was born.
Geoff Boyer, Inventor and Co-Founder
Geoff is an inventor and entrepreneur who has spent his entire career pursuing innovation and problem-solving while striving to make a positive impact on the world.
He has always been fascinated by how things work. He continues to develop new solutions to problems and is always looking for new ways to refine his ideas. Inventing the Boyer Brush, a safer solution for cleaning BBQ grills, was an obvious choice.
