Barbecue News, a trade publication that covers the competition and restaurant barbecue world, tested the Boyer Brush and published a review. We are proud of it, and we would rather you read their words than ours, so here is a short summary with a link to the full piece.
“The result of their partnership has become one of the best grill brushes we have ever tested.”
— Ben Que’N, Product Reviews, Barbecue News Magazine, November 2023

What they tested
The reviewer had written before about the danger of wire-bristle brushes shedding into food, and framed the Boyer Brush as the answer to that problem: a brush invented after our co-founder Fred Saleh found a broken bristle in his gum and went looking for something better, then teamed up with designer and inventor Geoff Boyer to build it.
What they said
The review called the construction “robust” and “built to last,” noted that the spring-type teeth add pressure to lift bigger and stuck-on debris in a few passes, and said the reviewer would not hesitate to recommend the brush in a commercial kitchen because of how sturdy it is. It also pointed out that the extra-long handle makes it easy to apply downward pressure without much effort, and that the brush works on charcoal, gas, and pellet grills and smokers.
Where it does not fit
We appreciate that they were straight about the limits: the brush is not suited to expanded-metal or mesh grates and some custom grate designs, where the springs cannot get between the bars. That matches our own guidance; the Boyer Brush is built for standard bar grates, which is what almost every home and restaurant grill uses.
